- NSW general transfer duty (2026/27 thresholds).
What this includes
NSW 2026/27 thresholds, VIC general and principal-place-of-residence rates, and QLD home and first home concessions. Where a first home buyer concession applies but is not computed, the page says so.
How we calculate
NSW (2026/27): $1.25 per $100 to $18,000, rising in bands to 4.5% from $387,000, 5.5% above $1.29m and 7% above $3.87m; first home buyers pay nothing up to $800,000 and a concession between $800,000 and $1m (flagged, not computed). VIC: general rates, with 5.5% of the whole value between $960,000 and $2m; owner-occupiers up to $550,000 get the principal-place-of-residence rates; first home buyers pay nothing up to $600,000 and a concession to $750,000 (flagged, not computed). QLD: general rates for investors; the home concession rate for owner-occupiers; first home buyers subtract the first home concession (full below $710,000, tapering in $10,000 steps to nil at $800,000). NSW and QLD charge per $100 or part of $100.
